Benefits VA Insurance

  • Access life insurance information through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
  • Almost 20 million military veterans currently live in the United States and rely on the services of Veterans Affairs

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs was founded in 1930, and exists to serve United States military veterans, their families, and their survivors with benefits like medical coverage, educational training, home loans, and more. As part of their dedication to serving United States veterans, the U.S. Veterans Affairs department offers life insurance to provide for expenses after a death.

In 2014, the premium for VA life insurance increased from 6.5 cents for every $1,000 of coverage to to 7 cents for every $1,000 of coverage. Veterans who are in the 70 to 74 and 75 and older age brackets usually have an average of $50,000 of coverage. This means that these veterans are paying only $5 more a month for their life insurance coverage.

Benefits VA Insurance (types)
